Plymouth Store, Farmers Market Stand Bring Old World Olive Oils to Area Residents
Old World Olive Press offers healthy oils in unique varieties from around the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Stacey Shearer gets it.
It's a common misconception, really. People routinely walk up to her Old World Olive Press stand at the Plymouth Farmer's Market, expecting to find plain, old olive oil.
That's when she begins to explain that's simply not the case.

How does a dark chocolate or rasberry variety grab you? Need something a little spicier? There's always the jalepeno-inflused oil that add a kick to any dish.
Need something more basic? That's no problem as the stand offers extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegars.

"We have a huge variety - we have something for pretty much everyone," Shearer said. "And the health benefits (to using olive oil) are outstanding."
Old World Olive Press opened its first location in Michigan in 2009. The company's second store came to downtown Plymouth (467 Forest Ave.) last year before opening a third location in Birmingham.
Old World Olive Press made its farm market debut this summer and offers a variety its stock on a weekly basis. Each bottle retails for $15.95.
