Pumpkin Palooza Features Costume Contests for Kids and Pets

From a magician to a ventriloquist to more than 20 games, kids won't be wanting for fun this weekend.

Many downtown Plymouth events cater to adult audiences, but that isn’t the case with Sunday’s fifth annual Pumpkin Palooza centered at Kellogg Park and spilling over onto downtown streets.

The fun takes place from noon-3 p.m. and includes costume contests for children and their pets, a petting farm, creepy critters from the Leslie Science & Nature Center in Ann Arbor, and entertainment from magician Gordon Russ, ventriloquist Richard Paul, and music activities throughout the afternoon from Kindermusik.

Kids will be able to choose from about 20 games to play, stop by treat stations and visit costumed characters, like the Detroit Tigers’ Paws, Chuck E. Cheese, and Anna and Elsa from the Disney movie “Frozen.”
