See What Plymouth Sailor Is Up to at Sea

PLYMOUTH, MI – Did you ever wonder what goes on while sailors are at sea?

The U.S. Navy has shared some information about a sailor from Plymouth — Seaman Emilia Hilliard — who practiced patching pipe on the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) in the South China Sea during what’s called a damage-control rodeo.

The DC rodeo is a four-hour long event training sailors in various aspects of damage control.

Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled 7th Fleet deployment.
