Special Plymouth Township Board Meeting Canceled

Board agenda included a proposal to limit use of township meeting space to homeowner associations and nonprofit organizations.

Plymouth Township Supervisor Richard Reaume today withdrew the request for a that was to be held Thursday evening.

Reaume could not be reached to comment on the decision.

The only item on the meeting agenda was a proposal to change the township meeting room use policy. The new proposal would have immediately limited use of the room to homeowner associations and nonprofit organizations.

The move could have canceled a July 16 candidate forum by the League of Women Voters of Northwest Wayne County scheduled from 7-9 p.m. at the township hall.

Local League of Women Voters President Angela RyanΒ said Wednesday that the group still plans on holding the forum July 16 at Plymouth Township Hall.
