Supervisor LaJoy And Host of Canton Officials Endorse Fausone for State House Seat

Carol Ann Fausone received some big endorsements in her bid for a State House seat.

Carol Ann Fausone scored a huge win with a host of Canton local elected officials endorsing her candidacy for State Representative in the 21st District. Supervisor Phil LaJoy, also a former State Representative himself, headlined the endorsements, with Trustees Pat Williams, John Anthony, and Tom Yack, and Canton Treasurer Melissa McLaughlin joining the endorsement list.

“I’m endorsing Carol Ann Fausone because I know she is the best candidate, and she will be a great partner to work with once elected,” said Supervisor LaJoy. “As a former State Representative myself and now as a Supervisor, I know Carol Ann will be an outstanding advocate for our community.”

LaJoy is also a Marine veteran who admires Fausone’s continued service to those who have served our country. “Carol Ann is a work-horse for our veterans in Michigan and across the country, and I know she will bring that same work-ethic and attitude to our district as a State Representative.”

All of the endorsers touched on Fausone’s background of service and leadership in the Air Force and Michigan National Guard. Fausone was the first woman in military service in Michigan to earn the rank of Brigadier General, and served as Michigan’s Assistant Adjutant General of Veterans Affairs from 2003-2011.

“I’ve known Carol Ann for ten years, and I could talk about her qualifications and trail-blazing accomplishments all day,” said Trustee Pat Williams, “But what stands out is her inspiring passion for people and her integrity.”

Fausone also has 40 years of experience in health care as a nurse, medical officer, and an administrator. Treasurer Melissa McLaughlin said that Fausone’s health care experience is critical because the issue is of growing importance for families.

“As both a mom and a public servant, I know how important health care is to families and individuals,” said McLaughlin, “Carol Ann is an expert in the field and I know she is someone I can trust, someone who understands how the issue effects families.”

Fausone said that she is honored to have the endorsements of so many great public servants in the Canton community. “Canton is my home, so the support of our elected officials means a lot to me,” said Fausone, “As local officials, they have the closest interactions with our community, and I am excited to partner with them to make a difference for the families and individuals of Canton, Belleville, and Van Buren if elected.”

Fausone is running in the 21st District State House race, which includes Canton, Belleville, and Van Buren.
