In the Plymouth-Canton area, the sun will rise at 7:48 a.m. Sunday and set at 7:38 p.m.
The beginning of Daylight Saving Time is also a good time to change smoke alarm batteries, according to the American Red Cross of Southeast Michigan, which is participating in the national Home Fire Preparedness Campaign intended to reduce house fires, which make up the bulk of the 70,000 emergencies the agency responds to each year.
