Pontiac man sentenced for stabbing neighbor to death, kidnapping wife and child (theoaklandpress.com) — A Pontiac man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for fatally stabbing his neighbor outside a home on East Ypsilanti Avenue in Pontiac. He also received long concurrent terms for kidnapping and assaulting the victim’s wife and young daughter, after prosecutors dropped several sexual assault charges as part of a plea deal.

Woman who helped husband in Rochester Hills murder pleads no contest (detroitnews.com) — A woman has pleaded no contest in Oakland County Circuit Court in Pontiac for helping plan a 2024 home invasion and murder in Rochester Hills. Prosecutors say Amanda Hernandez conspired in the robbery scheme that led to pawn shop owner Hussein Murray’s death, while two co-defendants are already serving life sentences.
