SC4 Theatre Club to present '1776' during America250 celebration (thetimesherald.com) — St. Clair County Community College’s Theatre Club is offering free performances of the musical “1776” at the SC4 Fine Arts Theatre in Port Huron on September 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. The shows, part of the America250 commemoration, invite local residents to reflect on the nation’s founding through music, drama, and humor right in downtown Port Huron.

Port Huron advances e-bike restrictions for downtown, waterfront (bnd.com) — Port Huron officials just advanced new rules that would restrict e-bikes and other motorized vehicles on downtown and waterfront sidewalks, with a final vote expected September 28. City leaders and residents are split over whether safety concerns justify limits without adding better bike infrastructure, and you’re invited to follow or join future discussions about how cyclists and pedestrians share local streets and walkways.

Mary Yvonne Williams (sanilaccountynews.com) — Many Port Huron residents may remember pianist Mary Yvonne Williams from her performances at Mercy and Blue Water Lodge, Rix’s Rooftop, and local events. The longtime teacher-turned-musician, known for her humor and love of animals, died at 90 and will be honored at a funeral service Friday, Sept. 18, in Port Sanilac with visitation that morning.
