• Cities of Ionia and Portland enter formal transportation agreement (wkar.org) — Portland has formally entered an interlocal agreement with Ionia to solidify and potentially expand public transit options for local residents, including I-Go and I-DART services. Approved June 1 by Portland City Council, the deal codifies existing rideshare access while opening the door to more door-to-door, on-demand transportation for seniors, commuters, and residents without reliable vehicles. 
• Portland athletes shine at D2 state track and field meet, Brady Rowe wins 400m Championship (theportlandbeacon.com) — Portland High School track and field athletes capped their season with standout performances at the Division 2 state finals, led by senior Brady Rowe’s record-setting 400m championship run. Several other Portland competitors and relay teams placed strongly, highlighting depth across sprints, relays, throws, and pole vault as Rowe prepares to continue his career at Saginaw Valley State.
