2 Hurt, 1 Arrested In Oakland County Shootout: Sheriff
Police believe the Pontiac building where the shootout happened was being used as an after-hours meeting place for narcotic paraphernalia.
PONTIAC, MI — A man was arrested in connection with a Pontiac shootout that left two men injured last Friday, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded to the Huron Plaza on Huron Street where they found numerous shell casings in the street and multiple bullet holes to the building's front exterior at 11 p.m. Friday, according to the sheriff's office.
Inside the building, officers found a 23-year-old Pontiac man with a minor gunshot wound on his back, as he was holding an AR-style rifle, according to the sheriff's office.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition, according to the sheriff's office.
Officers also found a 23-year-old Pontiac man in a room with a severe gunshot wound to his back, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers later arrested a 28-year-old Pontiac man in connection with the shooting, according to the sheriff's office.
He was placed in the Oakland County Jail with charges pending against him, according to the sheriff's office.
Officers also found multiple shell casings and another loaded AR-style magazine, as well as a large amount of marijuana, bags and a scale inside the building, according to the sheriff's office.
Police also said numerous vehicles in the parking lot were riddled with bullet holes, according to the sheriff's office.
