2015 Rochester Summer Shakespeare Festival
Uncovered Theater Company presents Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and Steven Schwartz' Godspell along with two interactive kids camps.

Come join us for our summer event put on by UnCovered Theatre Company and Rochester College Theatre featuring Shakespeare Summer Camp, Music Theatre Camp, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and maybe even a little Godspell!
This season we are performing Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and the musical Godspell.
UnCovered Theatre Company and the Rochester College Shakespeare Festival take on an immensely successful rock opera that needs little introduction...Godspell. This fun-filled musical by Stephen Schwartz (who also wrote Wicked and Pippin), incorporates a variety of musical styles including pop, folk rock, gospel and vaudeville. When it was first produced on Broadway in 1971, it broke new ground in its stage treatment of the historical Jesus Christ. Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, Godspell is one of the most successful musicals in history. It presents a whimsical, highly energized version of Jesus and his disciples as they re-enact parables and scenes from Jesus’ life. It is a joyous story, a religious experience, a demonstration of ultimate love, and a celebration of community. Rochester College Alumnus and professional actor, James Busam, makes a triumphant return to the RC stage to star in the role of Jesus.

What happens when Viola’s brother turns up on the scene? And what does all of this have to do with a group of Olivia’s servants and their sprawling practical joke? Come see Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, or What You Will for an evening of mistaken identity, jokes, pirates, duels, gags, love letters, music, and laughter all in our beautiful outdoor stage on the campus of Rochester College!
