3 Arrested After Multiple Rochester Area Vehicle Break-Ins: Police
Two men from Florida and a Tennessee woman were arrested in connection with the vehicle break-ins and thefts, according to police.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Three people are facing felony charges in connection with multiple vehicle break-ins and thefts in the Rochester Hills area, according to Shelby Township police.
Danarius Travon Young, 28, from Florida; Chauncey Javon Franklin, 21, from Florida and Kayln Marie Croom, 34, from Tennessee were each charged with:
- Conducting criminal enterprises,
- Conspiracy to commit possession of burglar’s tools,
- Conspiracy to commit identity theft,
- Three counts of conspiracy to commit breaking and entering a vehicle with damage,
- Three counts of conspiracy to commit stealing a financial transaction device and
- Four counts of conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of property.
They were each placed in jail with a bond:

- Young was given a $250,000 cash/surety bond
- Franklin was given a $200,000 cash/surety bond
- Croom was given a $100,000 cash/surety bond
Officers learned of four different reports of vehicles that had their windows busted out and personal items stolen from the vehicles on March 14 at roughly 6:30 a.m., police said.
Security video showed two suspected thieves arriving in a Silver Mazda SUV, before breaking into the vehicles and then leaving the scene, police said.

Investigators identified the car as a rental from Florida and with the help of Troy police, found the car in Rochester Hills, police said.
Investigators then followed a different vehicle that left the Rochester home and saw the same suspected thieves breaking into vehicles in Rochester Hills in the early morning hours of March 15, police said.
Officers arrested the suspected thieves and recovered stolen items from that scene, police said.
Officers then searched the home in Rochester, where three more suspects were arrested in connection with the thefts, police said.
Officers also found more stolen property and the silver Mazda during the search, police said.
Police did not provide any addresses. No further information was released.
"As I’ve stated several times before, if you come to Shelby Township to commit a crime, we will track you down and arrest you, no matter where you come from or where you try to hide. These three individuals, all from Florida and Tennessee, obviously didn’t listen to my warnings and had to learn the hard way," Shelby Township Police Chief Robert Shelide said.
