The shooting happened last Saturday inside the mall during a fight between three men, according to police.

The incident started with an altercation between the 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man inside a bathroom at the mall, police said.

Some time later, the 20-year-old man and another man saw the 22-year-old at a food court, where they confronted him again, leading to another fight, according to police.

That's when the 22-year-old man fatally shot the 20-year-old man, according to police.

A 19-year-old woman was also struck by gunfire and suffered non-life-threatening wounds, according to police.

Police said the 22-year-old Detroit man is a CPL (Concealed Pistol License) holder.

Prosecutors are now reviewing the case.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the Auburn Hills Police Department at 248-370-9444.
