Aplenty Rotini Meal Kit Recalled for Milk Allergy Concerns

Since the kit doesn't include milk, it's not listed in the ingredients as an allergen, which could put those with a milk allergy in danger.​

MICHIGAN — The Aplenty rotini with plant based bolognese meal kit was recalled by Seviroli Foods after some were found with milk in the meal kit’s packaging, according to the FDA.

Since the kit doesn't include milk, it’s not listed in the ingredients as an allergen, which could put those with a milk allergy in danger.

The affected products were sold through Amazon Fresh stores and Fresh online channels and distributed throughout the US.

As of Wednesday, there have been no related illnesses or incidents, and all products related to the recall have been removed from Amazon store shelves. The discovery was made on Dec. 22.

Any 24oz Aplenty rotini with plant based bolognese meal kit with the lot code of 1148, 1161 or 1162 and a sell date by May 28, 2022, June 10, 2022 and June 11, 2022 should not be eaten by those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk.

"Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product," the FDA posted recall notice said.
