At Downtown's Newest Restaurant, a Happy Hour Is Born
Here's what else is going on at The Meeting House.
What kind of town is Rochester?
After two months of doing business at the corner of Main and Third streets, owner Jason Mood from The Meeting House thinks it's "kind of a Happy Hour town."
Today at 4 p.m. The Meeting House puts Mood's theory to the test with the restaurant's first Happy Hour.

"We'll also have deals on house wines, draught beers and other food and beverage features," Mood said.
Weekend brunch, more seating
Downtown's newest restaurant opened Dec. 4. Owners Chris Johnson and Jason Mood spent nine years working together as chef and manager at the Beverly Hills Grill and said they had a clear vision of the restaurant they wanted to establish: it would be one built on "regulars," they said.

Since opening in December, Mood and Johnson have been working hard to get things just right. Some upcoming tweaks include:
- While the former greenhouse of Mind Body & Spirit was originally used as a lounge in The Meeting House, the space will now contain traditional seating for dining.
- Starting in mid-March The Meeting House will offer a menu-order brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Spring will see the opening of the rooftop patio.
And although they experimented with reservations for New Year's Eve, The Meeting House remains a first come-first serve establishment — meaning no Valentine's Day dinner reservations.
The Meeting House is located at 301 S. Main Street. Its hours are Tuesday through Thursday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. They can be reached at 248-759-4825.
