Avondale School District hosts annual Kindergarten Roundups
Parents of children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2016 should plan to attend
The Avondale School District, serving students in Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Troy and Bloomfield Township has announced dates for its annual Kindergarten Roundups for the 2016-2017 school year. The Roundups are held at each of Avondale’s four elementary schools for children that will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2016. Parents are asked to attend the Roundup at the elementary school located in their attendance area and can call the District enrollment office at 248.537.6039 if they are unsure of which Roundup to attend. All of the Roundups begin at 6:30 pm with a presentation by the school’s principal.
The roundups will give parents an opportunity to meet the principals and teachers; learn about Avondale’s educational philosophy; learn about the Kindergarten curriculum and screening process; and begin the registration process. To register, parents or guardians need to bring a completed student enrollment form; the child’s original birth certificate (with raised seal); and, the child’s immunization records and vision test. In addition, parents or guardians must provide proof of residency in the Avondale School District which includes a current driver’s license; a recent property tax statement or current signed lease/rental agreement; and two current utility bills wired into the home in the parent or guardian’s name with current address. Auburn Elementary Roundup will be held on February 1, 2016 at 6:30 pm. The school is located at 2900 Waukegan Street in Auburn Hills.
Woodland Elementary Roundup will be held on February 2, 2016 at 6:30 pm. The school is located at 6465 Livernois Road in Troy.
R. Grant Graham Elementary Roundup will be held on February 3, 2016 at 6:30 pm. The school is located at 2450 Old Salem Road in Auburn Hills.
Deerfield Elementary Roundup will be held on February 4, 2016 at 6:30 pm. The school is located at 3600 Crooks Road in Rochester Hills.
