City of Rochester Hills Begins 30 Days of Giving

The City of Rochester Hills is proud to once again begin 30 Days of Giving, a program asking each city department to give 30 minutes in support of a local charity or nonprofit during the month of November.

Over 200 employees will participate in this program in different activities ranging from volunteering at a soup kitchen to helping a local nonprofit with their Christmas setup. “This program is a great way to get our team and residents in the holiday spirit to help ensure that our residents have the support they need,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett.

In addition to volunteering, some departments have chosen to participate in drives so that residents and employees together can also get involved. The Treasury Department and the DPS Garage have partnered together to collect nonperishable food items, paper products, and toiletry items throughout out the month of November, which will benefit the Rochester Area Neighborhood House. Donated items can be dropped off at the DPS Garage (511 E. Auburn Rd) or the Treasurer’s Office (1000 Rochester Hills Drive).

Residents will also have the opportunity to drop off lightly used winter clothing at the Department of Public Service office at City Hall and winter coats for the 29th annual “Coats for the Cold” cost drive sponsored by the Oakland County Sherriff’s Office.

Donations can be dropped off anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at City Hall, located on 100 Rochester Hills Drive.
