Oakland County Swim School Sued After Doctor Places Hidden Cameras In Changing Rooms: Lawsuit
A woman is suing after she said a former doctor recorded her nude without consent at a Rochester swim school, according to a lawsuit.
ROCHESTER, MI — A woman is suing after she said a former doctor recorded her nude without consent at a Rochester swim school, according to a lawsuit.
Morgan Dean claims that disgraced doctor Oumair Aejaz secretly recorded her in a changing room at Goldfish Swim School in July 2023.
She claims staff allowed Aejaz to freely access the facility and its changing room area without children and with no reason to be in the building. Therefore, she claims they failed their "basic duties and obligations to protect her from such harm and keep its premises safe."

"A man walked into a children's swim school dozens of times with a hidden camera, and no one ever stopped him," Dean said in a statement. "I'm bringing this case so that real changes are made to protect the families and children who walk through those doors every day."
She encouraged other families who attended Goldfish Swim in Rochester with their children to reach out to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office to find out if they were recorded.

The lawsuit names BHB Investment Holdings, Goldfish Swim and Goldfish-Swim Rochester.
Aejaz, 41, will spend at least the next 35 years in prison after he pleaded no contest to 31 counts of sexual misconduct. He could be locked away for a maximum of 60 years.
Investigators found thousands of hours of video recordings of several children and at least two adults in the changing rooms at the swim school. They also found a video of Aejaz sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl.
Investigators said the incidents happened over several months with hidden cameras.
The lawsuit says victims have suffered physical and emotional harm, such as acute PTSD, night terrors, paranoia, anxiety, humiliation, embarrassment, increased stress and loss of normal enjoyments of life.
They are seeking monetary compensation and ask the swim school to reform its facilities and practices to better protect families.
"While Aejaz set up the secret camera, Goldfish Swim School created the environment that allowed this to happen," Attorney Megan Bonanni said. "We are disappointed, but not surprised, that more people have been harmed by Goldfish's negligence. Aejaz is not the first person to commit this kind of crime, and he won't be the last, which is exactly why Goldfish must be held accountable so that no one else is given the opportunity to do this."
