Community-Wide Cancer Support Group to Begin
Cancer Support Group to meet the needs of both patients and caregivers will be meeting at St. Paul's United Methodist Church this Fall.
Meeting the needs of both those with cancer or who have ever had cancer, as well as family members and friends, the Rochester area Cancer Support Group’s new Fall session will begin on Thurs., September 24, and meet for seven consecutive Thursdays. This group began in January of 1990 and this Fall we celebrate our 50th session. We gather at 7:00 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and each meeting includes a speaker on various topics followed by an all-important sharing time. After the speaker, there will be a sharing and discussion time for patients as well as caregivers and supporters. These groups are open to anyone in our community. The support and growth experienced in these groups is invaluable and amazing. For more information, call Cheryl Martz at (248) 693-3737 or e-mail her at comartz@yahoo.com.
