CPA and firm managing partner receives group Vistage award

Mattina, Kent & Gibbons, P.C. (MKG), a Michigan-based CPA firm providing audit, accounting, tax and business consulting services to a variety of industries, is pleased to announce that Vince Mattina, Jr., CPA and MKG managing partner, has been named a recipient of the Vistage Soaring Eagle award from his Michigan Vistage group. The award was announced by Vistage at the Vistage CEO Summit on Sept. 18, 2015; Mattina will receive the award on Oct. 22.

Vistage is a networking organization that helps peer CEOs and executives grow their businesses by making better decisions and achieving better results through shared experiences, coaching and group facilitation. Mattina has been a member of Vistage since 2011. He was nominated for the award by members of his Vistage peer group based on a variety of criteria, including implementation of ideas gathered from Vistage participation, sharing wisdom, insight and compassion with other Vistage group members and giving back to the community.

Mattina has been a licensed CPA since 1987. He co-founded the original Gofrank & Mattina in 1988 and the firm grew with the acquisition of several solo or two person practices. In 2013, the firm name changed to Mattina, Kent & Gibbons following a merger with Lapeer, Mich.-based Brown & Kent, P.C.

Mattina holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Walsh College and is a resident of Shelby Township.
