DENNY MCLAIN MAKES A PITCH TO OAKLAND TWP MEN

Denny McLain is the guest speaker at Oakland Church Men's Breakfast on Saturday, June 20th, at 9:00am. The church is located at 5100 N. Adam

Denny McLain, the famous World Series Pitcher of the 1968 Detroit Tigers, is coming to present his message on Saturday, June 20th, “Ty Cobb& Denny McLain – Tiger Tales”, to the Oakland Township Men. He will be at a Men’s Breakfast Gathering at Oakland Church, 5100 Adams Rd., Oakland MI 48306, starting at 9:00am. It is open to men of all ages. Tickets are $15 at the door. Contact (248) 276-9900 for your tickets. It is open to all Tiger baseball fans who want to hear about The Great Game of Baseball and Life.

Denny McLain played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball for ten seasons, most notably for the Detroit Tigers. In 1968, McLain became the last pitcher in Major League Baseball to win 30 or more games during a season (31–6), a feat accomplished by only eleven players in the 20th century. McLain was brash and outspoken, but his performance on the field more than made up for it. His stellar performance at the beginning of his professional baseball career was a marked contrast to his personal life.

Men, come hear his story and enjoy a great full breakfast on Saturday, June 20th, at 9:00am at Oakland Church, 5100 Adams Rd., Oakland MI 48306. Baseball memorabilia and other very special items will be auctioned off.
