Detroit Man Fatally Shoots 2 Men In Oakland County After Losing $80 On A Dice Game: Police
Sheriff's officials said they arrested the man 12 hours after he shot two men to death inside a Pontiac apartment.
PONTIAC, MI — A 32-year-old Detroit man fatally shot two men in Pontiac Tuesday morning after he lost $80 on a dice game, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting happened at 8 a.m. Tuesday inside an apartment on the 100 block of North Sanford Street near Fiddis Avenue, just south of Michigan 59, according to the sheriff's office.
Officers found 20-year-old Sidney Ward III, of Highland Park, shot dead and 24-year-old Tyrone Davis Glenn Jr., of Pontiac, suffering from gunshot wounds inside a room at the apartment complex, according to the sheriff's office.

Glenn Jr. was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators discovered the shooter used a potato in a futile attempt to silence the gunshots, which witnesses still heard, according to the sheriff's office.

Witnesses told officers the shooter fled the apartment after the shooting, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators learned the shooter took an Uber to the intersection at South Boulevard and Woodward Avenue where he ran away, according to the sheriff's office.
Detectives were watching several locations in Oakland County and spotted the suspected shooter at 8:19 p.m. Tuesday walking on a sidewalk along Eight Mile Road near Evergreen Road in Southfield, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials said the man was carrying two grocery bags and a case of beer when officers arrested him in connection with the fatal double shooting.
The man was placed in the Oakland County Jail as officials plan to turn over their investigation to the prosecutor's office by Thursday for potential charges.
Investigators also recovered two semi-automatic handguns during their investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
"I am super proud of our substation, all our detectives and our partners for the effort that brought this cold-blooded killer into custody within 12 hours," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said." I have been in this a long time, but it is still shocking to see the lack of value some people place on a human life. I look forward to him being brought to the bar of justice and held accountable."
