Blessing of the Pets

The public is invited to A Blessing of the Animals scheduled for Sunday, October 7 at 12:30pm at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 1550 Walton Blvd.

Blessing of the Animals is a church tradition that takes place close to the commemorative day for St. Francis, who is remembered for his love of all God’s creations.

The public is invited to bring dogs, cats, birds and small animals for a brief outdoor prayer service.  An individual blessing for each animal and a pet appropriate treat will be included.  Prayers will also incorporate a remembrance
of pets who have died in the past year.
