During the month of July, Firebrick Gallery and Pottery Studio is hosting the work of “The Sisters of the Brush”, a group of seven area artists at Fieldstone Winery. Their artistic work will be on display for the entirety of the month, culminating in a reception for the artists on July 20th. (The exhibition will run from July 1st through July 31st)
“The Sisters of the Brush” are a group of Michigan women who meet together monthly to share their work and critique each other. The group is made up of Karen DeCarlo, Barbara Markham, Diane O'Neil, Katherine Harra, Pat McGraw, Yvonne Thigpen, and Kristen Robinson. On their website, the women say of themselves, “We’ve never created a mission statement but we eat, we sip wine, and we talk about art. We bring our best recent work: we are among such good friends, we know they will appreciate the achievement each piece represents.”
The reception will take place at Fieldstone Winery on Friday, July 20th from 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, it is free and open to the public. Fieldstone Winery is located on 223 S. Main Street, Rochester, MI 48307. For more information, contact Christine Laikind at firebrickgallery@att.net
