Rochester-Avon Historical Society General Meeting

RAHS -- LOOKING BACK AT GOODISON

The Rochester – Avon Historical Society and the Rochester Hills Library welcome speakers Janine Saputo and Colleen Barkham for the March evening meeting.  The meeting will be a power point presentation on the history of Goodison Mill. 

Goodison is an unincorporated village within the boundaries of Oakland Township.  It was named for William
Goodison, an Englishman who came to the township in the
1870s.

During the month of March there will be 6 panels on display in the lobby of the library showing the fascinating history of this Oakland Township gem. 

The meeting is Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library at 500 Olde Town in Rochester.  The public is invited and there is no charge.  For more information call Rod Wilson (248) 651-6178.
