
ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH. – Rochester College’s Music Department will present a concert featuring the Rochester College Concert Band on Tuesday, April 17.
The 70-member Rochester College Concert Band includes RC undergraduates and faculty, students from other area colleges, advanced high school musicians and adult community members.

The concert will be presented in conjunction with a traveling exhibit in the Rochester College Library titled “A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs, 1910 – 1965.” The exhibit is on display March 7 – April 20. The band’s program will feature music by George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, and Irving Berlin, as well as the First Suite of Alfred Reed (born Al Friedman).

The Tuesday performance takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Rochester College Theatre at 800 West Avon Road in Rochester Hills, Mich. Admission is free, though small donations are accepted. For tickets or more information, call (248) 218-2149 or e-mail music@rc.edu.
