Fake Cop Arrested After Trying To Stop Real Cop In Rochester Hills: Police
Officials said the man claimed he was a Detroit Police officer when he tried stopping a real Oakland County police officer.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — A Macomb Township man posing as an officer was arrested Wednesday after trying to stop an off-duty Oakland County police officer in Rochester Hills, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Christian Katan Mansoor, 18, was charged with impersonating a public officer (misdemeanor). He was given a $5,000 personal bond and has been released from jail. His next court date is scheduled for May 3.
Officials said Mansoor was driving a silver BMW with flashing red and blue lights when he tried stopping the off-duty Waterford Township police officer Monday at 11 p.m. near Michigan 59 and Crooks Road.

Mansoor then passed the off-duty officer near Dequindre and Hamlin roads, where the officer followed to confront him, officials said.
When the woman identified herself as a Waterford Township police officer and asked for his identification, Mansoor claimed he was a Detroit police officer from the 12th Precinct, officials said.

The officer again asked for identification but Mansoor said he needed to get it from his car, officials said. Mansoor then went back to his car and drove away.
The off-duty officer followed Mansoor to a trailer park in Shelby Township but then lost sight of his vehicle, officials said.
On Wednesday, officials said they found Mansoor switching license plates from the BMW he was driving to another one that he owned. When officers approached him, he ran off but was captured shortly later, officials said.
"Individuals that pose as police officers present a threat to the public and undermine legitimate law enforcement," Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
