Free Fridays at Meadow Brook Hall

Meadow Brook Hall offers free tours once a month for its new Free Fridays tour program sponsored by Oakland University Credit Union.

Experience special events and tours at the Great Estate free of charge during our new Free Friday programs. FREE FRIDAYS takes place the last Friday of each month, now through October with the exception of November’s tour, which will take place on November 17. One designated tour per month will be available for this special offer. Reservations are not required unless indicated next to the tour date.

MEADOW BROOK HALL’S FREE FRIDAYS schedule:

• March 31: self-guided House tour and Q&A with Meadow Brook’s curator and guest textile conservator in the library from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• April 28: self-guided House tour and Q&A with Meadow Brook’s curator and guest book conservator in the library from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• May 26: self-guided House tour
• June 30: self-guided tour of Knole Cottage and Danny’s Cabin with outdoor family games
• July 28: self-guided tour of the Dodge Brothers exhibit with vintage car rides for the first 50 guests
• August 25: self-guided garden scavenger hunt with ice cream treats for the first 50 guests
• September 29: Behind-the-Scenes tours at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (reservations required)
• October 27: self-guided House tour with live organ music and Q&A with guest organists following the tour
• November 17: Behind-the-Scenes Holiday Walk tour, learn what it takes to decorate a 88,000 square-foot mansion for the holidays

All FREE FRIDAYS tours are from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (last tour admittance is at 2:30 p.m.) with the exception of September 29 and November 17.

Also new this year, Meadow Brook Hall’s tour schedule is expanding with more tour options and tour times. The new spring tour schedule begins April 1 and runs through May 28, 2017. HOUSE TOURS will be offered Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and on weekends at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. BEHIND-THE-SCENES TOURS will be offered on weekends at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tour admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for active military members with ID. Youth ages 6-12 are $7.50 and Children ages 0-5 are admitted free of charge. Take full advantage of your visit to Meadow Brook Hall; combine both tours at a discounted rate. Reservations are not required.
