Gardening for Food, Fun and Function

Learn how to grow vegetables in almost any location with an eye toward balance, beauty and function

The Rochester Garden Club is pleased to host guest speaker, Stacey Hirvela, a professional horticulturalist and author of Edible Spots & Pots, a book about growing food and herbs in practically any location.  Stacey will open up our imagination and show how to rethink traditional garden and outdoor spaces to include growing edible plants in a variety of ways.  Raised beds, hanging baskets, pouches and decorative pots are just a few of the options that can be used to grow fresh, tasty food that is within easy reac.  Stacey also teaches how to design containers and raised beds for vegetables with an eye toward balance, beauty and function.

This presentation will be held at the Rochester Community House on April 12 at 11:15 am.  It is open to the public but registration is required and a donation of $5.00 is appreciated.  Seating is limited.  To register call Pat at 586-377-0897 or contact us at RochesterGardenClub.org
