President Kennedy once said "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for you country."
Many in society and in the media feel as though Muslim Americans do not voice their patriotism loud enough. They then assume the patriotism doesn't exist. I assure it does exist and we do voice it as much as we can.
This Independence Day, we of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Metro Detroit will be showing our appreciation and patriotism by marching in the Clawson City Parade holding banners that say "Muslims for Loyalty" and "Love for All, Hatred for None."
We too are proud to be Americans and we will stand by our countrymen. We will together proclaim with one voice, "God bless the United States of America."
