Grace Centers of Hope Announces Inaugural "Pave the Way 5K"

PONTIAC, Mich. — Grace Centers of Hope (GCH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome complex issues such as homelessness, addiction, and abuse, today announced details for its first annual "Pave the Way 5K.” This inspirational community event will begin at 9 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 7 at the Paint Creek Cider Mill located at 4480 Orion Rd. in Rochester. The announcement was made today by GCH CEO Pastor Kent Clark.

"The 'Pave the Way 5K' embodies the spirit of Grace Centers of Hope and the unity of our community," said Clark, who also serves as senior pastor at Grace Gospel Fellowship church, the parent organization of GCH. "It symbolizes our commitment to breaking the cycle of homelessness, addiction, and abuse while raising funds that are essential to sustaining our life-changing programs. Together, we can pave the way for brighter futures and stronger communities."

The 5K run/walk event will route participants along the picturesque Paint Creek Trail, heading toward Lake Orion and back. As participants make their way through the trail, they'll have the opportunity to read inspiring stories of individuals — fathers, mothers, children, husbands, and wives — who have achieved remarkable success with the support of GCH.

Registration for the event is $30 per person and will open at 8 a.m. Participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt, a finisher medal, cider and donuts. All ages are encouraged to join in this uplifting community event.

The "Pave the Way 5K" is presented by CAPS Remodeling and is made possible with the generous support of sponsors like Benson's Building Supply, Key Bank, Oakland Orthopedic Partners, Restoration 1 of Metro Detroit, and the Valerie Johnson Foundation.
