The Great Detroit Documentary Screening a Success at Oakland University
The setting of a burning fireplace was perfect for the screening of the film at Oakland University last month.
The Great Detroit documentary, includes 55 interviews and covers a little of everything starting with how and why Detroit was founded, to how it became a manufacturing powerhouse, to its man made island plus many other little known facts, ending with the plans for a brighter future.
The setting of a burning fireplace was perfect for the screening of the film at Oakland University last month. The President of the university Dr. Geroge W. Hynd and several of his assistants attended and gave opening remarks prior to the showing. Also in attendance was the Vice President of Student Affairs Glenn McIntosh. Afterwards there was a reception with comments by the filmmaker Anthony Brogdon.
Brogdon talked about the making of the film and what he hopes that people take away after viewing it. He also cited his days as a student at Oakland, class of 1984.
