Kiddie Klub Closing Crooks Road Indoor Play Area

The daycare and preschool at the Rochester Hills location will remain open.

will close its parent-supervised, indoor play area next week.

The adjoining daycare will remain open, and the preschool is accepting applications for fall.

But a recent rent increase forced the indoor play place to close its doors starting Thursday, June 30.

"It was just not profitable anymore," said Candi Sproat, director of the Crooks Road play place.

"We are devestated. We are sad to see the play area go, we have had a lot of fun times."

Sproat said the business is looking at re-opening in another location in the future.

Kiddie Klub is one of three indoor play places in Rochester and Rochester Hills; is nearby on Star Batt Drive, and is in downtown Rochester.

"We have truly enjoyed our time with you and your families and look forward to seeing you again in the future," said a letter sent to customers this week.

Drop-in daycare will still be available on a call-ahead basis at the daycare center.
