Legoland® Discovery Center Michigan To Expand Play Area With All- New Ninjago Training Camp

Grand opening of new play zone to include ninja-themed activities, a ceremonial karate chop, prizes and more!

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan will celebrate its first anniversary with the opening of an all-new Ninjago Training Camp play area inside the attraction. There will be a special weekend of activities on Saturday, March 25, and Sunday, March 26. The new play area will bring to life favorite characters from the unique LEGO® Ninjago collection of heroic ninja characters and their elemental dragons.

The weekend will include a special “Ninjago Chop,” where members of the local PRO Martial Arts group will break through a LEGO® brick wall to officially reveal the new training camp. Additionally, guests can help build a giant Kai from LEGO bricks, take part in a special Ninjago build in the Creative Workshop, and participate in a themed Scavenger Hunt in MINILAND. Kids can be just like Kai, Jay, Nya and Zane of the Ninjago team when they test their reaction times, increase coordination and master skills during special missions. They will also have the opportunity to take photos with their favorite LEGO® characters including Bertie, The LEGO Movie’s Emmet and LEGO Batman. All children dressed as a ninja will be entered to win a special prize.

“We are so excited to bring a new adventure to LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan with our Ninjago Training Camp,” said Hayley Anderson, general manager for LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan. “Together with our one-year anniversary celebration, we hope the Ninjago event will attract new families and repeat builders alike. Children of all ages will enjoy exploring our new interactive play zone and train to be a Ninjago ninja.”
