Masked Intruder, 17, Arrested in Rochester Hills
The suspect pounded on the door and demanded entry, then crawled in the home through a bedroom window, police said.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – A masked intruder who allegedly pounded repeatedly on the front door before crawling through a bedroom window of a Rochester Hills home Sunday morning has been arrested, authorities said.
The incident took place in the 3300 block of Longview Avenue, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The 44-year-old homeowner called 911 after the suspect dressed in black clothing and a face mask pounded on the door and demanded entry into the home. When the homeowner refused, the suspect crawled through a bedroom window. The homeowner yelled out to the intruder, who fled through the same window.
When deputies arrived, they observed the suspect in a yard near the residence. The suspect, a 17-year-old male from Troy, attempted to flee, but was taken into custody.

Charges are pending, and the matter remains under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
