MOD Pizza to Raise Funds for At-Risk Youth and Families This Holiday Season

MOD Pizza restaurants are teaming up with local charities to raise funds and awareness of at-risk youth and families this holiday season

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, and its three MOD Pizza restaurants—located in Livonia, Northville and Rochester Hills—are teaming up with local charities to raise funds and awareness of at-risk youth and families this holiday season.

Taking place from Nov. 24 through Nov. 27, TSFR’s and its MOD Pizza restaurants will be donating a dollar for every MOD or MEGA pizza sold to the respective charity of choice in each community. Known as the annual “Spreading MODness” campaign, MOD Pizza Livonia will donate the funds raised from the campaign to the Livonia Public Schools Education, while the Northville and Rochester Hills locations will go to benefit the Northville Educational Foundation and Rochester Community Schools Foundation, respectively. On Black Friday, which is Nov. 27, MOD Pizza will also feature an “add-a-buck” option in which guests can match MOD Pizza’s donation at the register.

“As a local, family-owned company, TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants was drawn to the MOD Pizza brand due in part to the same values they share for giving back to the local community and inspiring guests not only with our products, but also through our actions,” said TSFR Brand Leader of MOD Pizza. “This year, with three new MOD Pizza locations in Michigan, we are excited to contribute to the Spreading MODness campaign, which raised more than $40,000 last year for at-risk youth and their families throughout the United States. Together, with the communities we serve, our MOD Squad is looking forward to helping provide the much needed funding to those in need this holiday season.”

Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
