Oakland University to offer free ACT and SAT practice tests

Tests will be administered April 25 for the ACT and May 9 for the SAT on the campus of Oakland University.

Earlier this year, Michigan drastically altered the statewide high school assessment exams by signing a contract to swap the ACT for the SAT starting in 2016.

To help prepare for this shift, Oakland University is offering free practice ACT and SAT test days for high school students.

“The free practice ACT and SAT will allow students to become more familiar with what to expect on the exams, in order to help them better prepare for the true test,” said Dawn Aubry, interim assistant vice president for student affairs and director of admissions at Oakland University. “The practice SAT should be especially helpful for rising high school juniors, who will take the newly redesigned SAT for the first time in March of 2016.”
