On the Agenda: Mayor's Budget, Youth Swearing-in, Flat Top Grill

Rochester Hills City Council meets at 7 tonight.

Rochester Hills City Council will recognize the outgoing Government Youth Council and welcome the incoming council during tonight's regular city council meeting.

The meeting will include a swearing-in ceremony for the 15 new members of the youth council; they are all high school students who live in Rochester Hills and represent all four council districts.

In addition, Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett will present his 2012 proposed budget and 2013 and 2014 projected budgets. A public hearing will be set to formally discuss the budget.

City council will also:

  • Awarding of a contract for paving and installation of speed humps along Rain Tree Drive and for the installation of speed humps in Cumberland Hills and Eddington Farms.
  • Request for a charitable gaming license for
  • An ambulance purchase.
  • A request to develop an Industrial Development District, along with a request for an industrial exemptions certificate for Sunlogics. The company, which is a part of General Motors Ventures, . They plan to add 200 jobs by the end of the year.
  • Request for a liquor license for , which is planning to locate in the Village of Rochester Hills.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Rochester Hills City Hall; it is open to the public.
