Oxford Shooting Victim Shares Story For First Time: Report
Oxford shooting victim Kylie Ossege spoke publicly for the first time since she was injured in the deadly shooting.

OXFORD, MI — Oxford shooting survivor Kylie Ossege spoke publicly for the first time since she was injured in the deadly shooting at Oxford High School on Nov. 30, WXYZ reported.
"For me, Nov. 30 began as any normal day. My name is Kylie Ossege. I’m a survivor of the Oxford High School shooting," she said.
Ossege suffered a broken clavicle, two broken ribs and a spinal cord injury after she was shot in the chest and wounded in each shoulder during the deadly attack. She gave the powerful message during an event honoring Crime Victims' Rights Week, the report said.

"Despite our hurt, we stay hopeful, Ossege said. "We pray and stay true to our faiths. We trust in a greater plan that gives purpose to each and every student. With this belief, we remain hopeful in a plan that will honor our four angels."
Oakland County prosecutors were continuing their case against the 15-year-old student, who they said opened fire in Oxford High School on Nov. 30, killing four students and wounding seven others, including Ossege.

The student's parents were also charged in connection to the deadly shooting after authorities accused the couple of ignoring disturbing warning signs leading up to the deadly shooting. The couple's trial could start as soon as Oct. 24.
