RJWC to Celebrate 60 Years in the Rochester Community

The Rochester Junior Woman's Club wants to hear from you!

Rochester, MI (September 14, 2015) Did you ever performed in the Red Stocking Revue? Walk down Main Street in the Christmas Parade? Serve lemonade at Art and Apples? Or have you ever been a member of RJWC? If you answered yes to any of these, the Rochester Junior Woman’s Club (RJWC) wants to hear from you!

RJWC will celebrate 60 years in the community in 2016! Over the years, the club has contributed to the growth and vitality of the Rochester community through their volunteer service and donation of funds to local charities and organizations. Since 1956, the club has donated more than 1 million hours of community service and raised more than $890,000 to support the local community.

All of those accomplishments are worthy of a yearlong celebration and that is just what they are planning to do! The celebration will continue throughout the coming year including a special club meeting on April 21, 2016, which will include current club members as well as anyone who has ever belonged to the club.

But, for it to be a success they need the help of the community! They are asking anyone who has ever belonged to RJWC and would like to be a part of the celebration in April, to please contact them. In addition, they are also trying to gather historical information and stories from past club members and individuals in the community.

If you have ever been a member of RJWC and are interested in being a part of the celebration or if you have photos, stories to share or any items or information that would be of interest, please contact Lynn Marie Oates at 248 652 2765 or lmo102967@wowway.com.
