Rochester College Music Groups To Perform Fall Concert
Chorus and Concert Band will present a program spanning many years, nationalities and styles

Rochester College’s music department will present its first concert of the academic year on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. It will feature the Rochester College A Cappella Chorus and the Rochester College Concert Band.
The 50-member chorus will present a program spanning many years, nationalities and styles. Selections will include “In the First Light,” made popular by the group Glad, as well as a Moses Hogan spiritual. Also featured will be the work of Eric Whitacre and Palestrina, among others.
The 75-member concert band will perform the popular march “National Emblem” by E.E. Bagley, “October” by Eric Whitacre, and “Hollywood Milestones,” a medley featuring some of the best music from the last 25
years of film history, including Jaws, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Chariots of Fire, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park and more. The band will close its program with the fiery “Danzon No. 2” by Arturo Marquez.
