Rochester Play! Announces Opening of New Location

Rochester, November 11th, 2014: Rochester Play!, the indoor children’s play center, party venue, and café has re-opened after a short term closure during the construction of their new location. The play center has relocated to a larger building in Rochester located at the intersection of Elizabeth and Second Street. The new facility has allowed Rochester Play! to expand its services to include active gaming, a larger and enhanced play area, additional party options, and expanded children’s camps and programs.

Rochester Play! opened in downtown Rochester in September of 2010 to provide a more active, comfortable, and healthier option for parents to take their families to visit. Since its’ opening, the company has seen significant growth in the number of visitors to the center prompting the need to find more space in order to provide a better and more relaxed location. The concept, created by owners Jeff and Kate Schamanek, was to create a healthy, clean, safe, and fun location for families to not only visit for entertainment but also to provide a service that reflects the personality of the communities they are located within and promotes an earth friendly lifestyle.

At the new “bigger” location, Rochester Play! now features a refreshed large, soft-cushioned climbing structure with new components, a larger and more open play space, a new active gaming area for young and older children to enjoy, a laser maze, and a new indoor walking track for both children and parents to take advantage of. Parents will also appreciate the truly comfortable seating, the ability to relax and enjoy the free Wi-Fi, and as always, a free chance to “play” and bond with their children. In addition to the play area, Rochester Play! has expanded their party options by adding more private party rooms and enhancing their party packages. They continue to provide their café with delicious and healthier food options they have become known for that offers both adult and kids meals, snacks, coffee drinks, and smoothies. Finally, Rochester Play! offers high quality children’s camps and programming opportunities that provide more family entertainment and active learning experiences with the added benefit of play time for parents to enjoy with their children that no one else can offer.

The new location opened on November 11th, 2014. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily admission passes or monthly memberships are available for purchase.
