Smackwater Jack's Coming to Designhaus Downtown

The on Walnut Street downtown is sporting a new banner.

It announces the coming of Smackwater Jack's Neighborhood Cafe inside Designhaus.

"We have lease space in front available," said Peter Stuhlreyer, chief architect of Designhaus, an architecture and design firm. "It's sanctuary space, similar to the Clarkston Union, and a good public area."

The restaurant plans to feature outdoor dining and live music.

"It's going to be a real good addition to Rochester," Stuhlreyer said. "I'm looking forward to it."

At this time, tentative plans have the restaurant opening before the new year.
