Stoney Creek HS Students In Rochester Hills Evacuated, No Threat: Cops

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — Students were evacuated from Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills on Tuesday morning after the lockdown alarm sounded 11:48 a.m., the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

Heavily armed officers went into the school and determined there were no shooters, threats or injuries during the lockdown, officials said.

Officials are still investigating what prompted the alarm to go off.

Officials did not release any further information to Patch other than saying officers were searching the building. Student were evacuated from the building just before 12:30 p.m.

The alarm also sent Hart Middle School, Hugger and North Hill Elementary schools into lockdowns Tuesday morning.

The district said that social-emotional wellness teams would be available at Stoney Creek High School to provide support. Families were encouraged to check their email for additional information and resources.
