The Troy Summer Concert series is back! The Civic Center Complex grassy area, across from the Troy Family Aquatic Center & east of the Police Dept/Court will be the backdrop for some fabulous music on select Thursdays this summer. Stay after work, grab a bite to eat and listen to music from 6:30-8:30 pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets and relax with friends as a variety of music fills the air. Food will be available from Food Trucks (Jacques Tacos and Treat Dreams) starting at 5:30pm. T he Concert schedule is as follows:

The BackBeats are proud to be the only Michigan-based Beatles show to have had sponsorship by both of the major classic rock Detroit radio stations (FM 104.3 and FM 94.7) and also by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The BackBeats transport their audiences on a magical, mystery tour of yesteryear when the whole world first heard the names of John, Paul, George and Ringo, using authentic instruments, clothing and hairstyles.

July 31: Gary Greenfelder Orchestra - Swingin’ Big Band Jazz
The Gary Greenfelder Orchestra is a high energy swing band that plays exciting arrangements of music from the 30’s through modern arrangements of current day tunes. They have a diverse selection of songs, playing their way through nearly every big band and swing band in the history of this great music.
August 14: Big Will & The 360° Band - Detroit’s Premier Show Band
After performing over 4,500 gigs as the front man in one of Detroit’s top bands “The Sun Messengers,” William Elijiah decided to follow his dream and have his own band. Big Will & the 360° Band is a group of multi-talented, experienced musicians that match Big Will’s unparalleled stage energy and share his vision to give the audience a visual experience while enjoying outstanding musicianship.
August 28: Jump Street Swing Band - 17-Piece Swing Band
The Jump Street Swing Band formed in the fall of 2002 and is co-led by Karen Simons on alto saxophone and Eric Simons on bass. The group has had unprecedented success attracting extremely talented and devoted players. Jump Street is well known in the Detroit Metro Area for classic such as Moonlight Serenade, Satin Doll, Pennsylvania 6-5000 and Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable and Wonderful World by Louie Armstrong.
“We are so excited to bring back the Troy Summer Concert Series,” Community Affairs Director Cindy Stewart said. “The concert series is yet another fabulous activity for people of all ages to enjoy this summer along with great programs at our Library, Community Center, Historic Village and Nature Center.”
