- A metro Detroit man is going viral after he shared a social media video of himself sleeping with two giant pythons. Bryan Barczyk, who runs The Reptarium, a reptile zoo in Utica, garners a lot of social media attention by educating viewers about reptiles. (Rochester Hills Patch)
- An Oakland County Judge ordered the release of of all evidence contained in the Oakland County Sheriff Office's file relating to the Nov. 30 Oxford High School shooting, including surveillance footage. Prosecutors are worried the release of material might upcoming criminal trials. (Detroit News)
- For the first time since the pandemic, Detroit's riverfront fireworks will light the sky over downtown on Monday. The 64th annual Ford Fireworks show, presented by the Parade Company, will take place from 9:55 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday, June 27, under the tagline "Hey Detroit! The Sky Shines for You."
