The Village of Rochester Hills to Host Monthly Drive-By Donation

The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, will host another drive-by donation event on July 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., this time to support Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) and its ongoing arts education initiatives in Northern Oakland County, Western Macomb County and beyond.

The following requested items for donations will be used for PCCA’s children’s programs and at the 2021 Art & Apples Festival in Rochester’s Municipal Park.

• Crayola Model Magic Air Dry Clay (white)
• Crayola Washable Watercolors (eight colors)
• Elmer’s Liquid School Glue (Gallon Bottles)
• Granola Bars for Adult Volunteers
• Heavy Weight Mixed Media Paper
• Mayco Stroke & Coat Wonderglaze
• Snack-Sized Popcorn for Adult Volunteers
• Snack-Sized Potato Chips for Adult Volunteers
• Synthetic Sponges (2 ½ inch round & 6D)
• Unisex Kids Face Masks (adjustable/white)
• Water Bottles for Adult Volunteers
• Watercolor Pads

In return, those who donate to PCCA during this event will receive a free sweet treat, courtesy of Nothing Bundt Cakes – Rochester Hills, while supplies last. Representatives from PCCA and The Village will be next to The Village’s Gazebo to collect donations made in walk-up or drive-by fashions.

To do so, PCCA offers more than 300 drawing, painting and ceramic classes for all ages and experience levels. They also provide several art intensives and frequent events at local summer camps and the annual Art & Apples Festival.

“PCCA’s mission is to celebrate and support creativity in the community by providing opportunities to learn, create and appreciate the arts,” says Elizabeth Chilton, Executive Director for PCCA. “Therefore, Paint Creek Center for the Arts is proud to be working with The Village of Rochester Hills to help provide high-quality art programming for kids in our community.”

PCCA is just one of the many local nonprofit organizations and community groups that The Village of Rochester Hills works with closely year-round. Charitable actions from The Village include frequent financial contributions to various local community fundraising events and causes, conducting “Shop for A Cause” events in-stores and hosting its monthly donation drive-by program.
