What is Faith? Is it blind?

As an Ahmadi Muslim I see my community expanding daily around the world despite fierce opposition. What’s winning faith in the fastest growing religious movement in the world, founded by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the awaited Messiah?

It’s not the blind faith but “certainty by way of experience”. When the love is not one sided, unanswered at a dead end. That is why the Qur’an 2:258 ensures:

“Allah is the friend of those who believe: He brings them out of every kind of darkness into light. And those who disbelieve, their friends are the transgressors who bring them out of light into every kind of darkness”.

Caliph Mirza Masroor Ahmad fulfills the Quranic promise of a living light who champions peace and security in the face of fear and grief.

Where do you stand? Evaluate your life, are you in the light of certainty or the darkness of doubt?

In Islam faith in the Unseen is prescribed alongside the study of the self, nature, the cosmos, and history to unbiased deduce lessons, patterns, and signs that point in it’s direction and fulfillment.

“But all this is achieved only through steadfastness, striving, effort and purification of the ego. He who seeks clarification of all details at the very first stage, and is not prepared to abandon his false doctrines and evil ways before such clarification, prevents himself from treading upon the path of righteousness and achieving merit” reminds Messiah Ahmad [Surmah Chashm-e-Arya, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 2, pp. 83-88].

Isn’t this how Islam heralded the Golden Age of honest discovery which set in motion the very Renaissance. Only those endowed with extrasensory vision here have vision in the life beyond death of our physical bodies. Consider how and why the Qur’an exudes precise claims proven true everyday by modern Science, inconceivable for anyone fourteen centuries ago.

Islam invites me to open my inner eye and surrender to the direction our spiritual experiences take us.
