Woman Suspected of Driving Drunk with 8-Year-Old in Car

The woman allegedly failed field sobriety tests with a blood alcohol content that was three times the legal limit.

Rochester police have asked for warrants to arrest a 42-year-old Washington Township woman suspected of driving drunk — her blood alcohol content was reportedly three times the legal limit — with her 8-year-old child in the car.

Police stopped the woman about 1:45 p.m. Oct. 31 after receiving reports of a motorist who was swerving on the roadway in the area of Main and Second streets, The Oakland Press reports.

Rochester police stopped the woman after she allegedly made an illegal right turn at a red light at Main and University. Her speech was slurred, according to the report, and the officer reported smelling alcohol in the vehicle.
