The Women's Fund present grant to the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan
Funding will support their Assault Survivor Kits Program

The Women’s Fund recently presented the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan with a $2500 grant toward their Assault Survivor Kits Program. The Women’s Fund grant will help to fund new clothing and personal items to trauma centers for assault survivor kits for victims of sexual abuse.
Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization whose purpose is to clothe, feed, educate, and comfort children and adults through community-based programs. “The generous donation from The Women’s Fund will go to support the Assault Survivor Kit program of Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan It is the only program in the state that provides clean clothes and toiletries for survivors that need to leave their clothes with the police. Unfortunately, we have just been asked to expand our kits to smaller sizes due to children being attacked. The clean clothes are the beginning of the healing process,” said Marjorie DiLiddo of Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan.
The Women’s Fund is a permanently endowed fund owned and administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester. Through grant-making, the Fund provides ongoing and future support for programs that aid women while preserving and managing its donations in perpetuity by spending only the fund’s income and annual earnings.
